19 FLAGS for Palestine

art and writings about protest and Palestine

- an artwork collaboration by Euan Sutherland and friends -

19 FLAGS for Palestine is a publication that highlights protest. In particular protest about and in support of Palestine. Protest in all its manifestations and related activities -

political demos and parliament occupations,
workers strikes and business pickets,
direct actions and blockades
neighbourhood interventions and road stoppages,
school walkouts and student encampments,
meeting disruptions and institute shaming,
chants and cultural boycotts,
assemblies and street stalls,
court and police station support,
alternative media and film screenings,
commemorations and tributes,
readings and radio broadcasts,
petitions and letter writing,
singing and fundraising events
community engagement and liberated zones

These are all fundamental building blocks that pave the way forward. Mutual aid and horizontal organising.

Nineteen specially constructed protest models accompany nineteen specifically written or adapted texts - and are all reproduced in a two part mini printed loose leaf publication. This (art)work acts as a piece of solidarity with the struggle itself, as well as giving an outlet to various voices involved within this ongoing protest. It is also a fundraising vehicle - all monies raised through its ongoing sale will go to various Palestinian causes.

The writers are - Danny Alderslowe, r alice, Henry Bell, Brycey, Charlotte Cornic, crickets, Lizzie Eldridge, Kamala Emanuel, Dan Glass, Faithfully Iman, Nabila Irshaid, Bash Khan, Laura Little, Doctur Normul, Parents for Palestine, David Rovics, Juman Simaan, Euan Sutherland, Monika Vykoukal.

Stop arming Israel.

Stop the genocide.

No one is free until Palestine is free.
